FLOW
This collection is inspired by traditionalChinese painting.
My collection, Flow, is inspired by my love for traditional Chinese culture. I aim to abstract the artistic concept of traditional Chinese painting by way of jewelry. This collection was originally inspired by fish bones and Chinese ink painting. I mainly use black and white in my jewelry, so that the design of the whole series is closer to the feeling of Chinese ink painting. The main materials are porcelain and silver, using the smooth whiteness of porcelain and the dark grain of silver to match and contrast. The random combination of broken porcelain pieces and melted metal scraps result in simple works with a modern feel that embody my culture’s long and rich history.
